@bloodlily16 i separated spark play into two types (spark play and spark merging) and included tactile (inducing overload through the stimulation of erogenous zones) as its own separate typing because i’ve seen fics that have strictly used tactile without sticky elements before
so the Five Types Of TF Sm*t According To Tony are spark play, spark merging, plug n play, tactile, and sticky s*xual interfacing
argument could be made for spark merging being a subcategory of general spark play but i see a lot of merging without general spark play and a lot of general spark play without merging so they go in their own bins
@trueshredguitar yeah TF fandom’s wildly varying takes on sm*t have always been super fascinating to me, and especially because of how long the fandom’s been around you could legit write entire thesis papers on some of the tropes and conventions you find in TF fic that you just wouldn’t find in other fandoms
i’d love to do a video specifically on this stuff but unfortunately youtube would slap a banhammer on my account so fast my grandchildren would feel it :/

I’m familiar with most of these, is plug and play the same as when they have, like, virtual or holographic bodies that can do whatever?

i suppose you’re right… i have seen spark play fics without any kind of spark merging… what a fascinating taxonomy you’ve created
