Alien, he/him/his, trans dude content creator, your personal alien boyfriend from the planet cupid. I like walks on the beach, media analysis, and fandom nonsense.
Being aware of abusive breeding practices is good but we also need to be conscientious that weird doesn’t automatically = abusive. If you ever find yourself typing out a comment about an animal that you have exactly 0 knowledge about or experience around just because you “think it might be abusive” and feel like getting some internet outrage points plz take two minutes to research.
Your uninformed opinions directly contribute to furthering ARA nonsense which has real life consequences. Don’t be that asshole.
this is great point!
baffling and (subjectively) ugly anatomy doesn’t equal abuse. Oriental Shorthairs, Bull Terriers, and English Pouters all look bizarre, but nothing about their bodies inherently hurts them.
meanwhile, sweet-looking Scottish Folds suffer crippling cartilage damage, beautiful rose-tailed bettas bite off their own fins, and well……we all know about brachycephalic dogs at this point.
cute/normalized doesn’t = healthy, and ugly/strange doesn’t = unhealthy. rather than make assumptions, definitely put in the time to research the animal in question!
